- Gull Lightvessel ( United Kingdom): Rammed and sunk by Ellerman Lines liner SS City of York. Raised in July 1929, repaired and entered service as the Brake Lightvessel.[3]

- Schooner S F Pearce ( United Kingdom): spent a few hours under Trewavas Head, Mount's Bay, UK in a southerly gale. The crew managed to get the engine going and clear of the rocks[5]

- Vestris ( United Kingdom): Developed a severe starboard list, was abandoned and sank approximately 200 miles off Hampton Roads, Virginia, USA. Estimates of the dead vary from between 110-127.
